Why Should You Install a Home Recording Studio in Your Home?
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Music
There are many reasons as to why you should have your own home recording studio inside your own home. Firstly, if you have a home recording studio inside your home, then you could record songs inside your own home without any hassle and hookups. You would be able to sing with grace and confidence because of the fact that you do not have any stranger watching you. Secondly, if you have your own recording studio, you would be able to have your own free hand to do whatever kind of tweaks you would like to have on each of your recording sessions. With that, you would be able to enjoy the fact that no one is meddling with your creative touches in your recordings. Lastly, if you have your own recording studio at home, you would be able to save money from commercial recording studio rentals and all other expenses associated with having to rent a recording studio outside your house. You should highly consider all of those factors if you are planning to install a home recording studio.

Joe Cinderella & Bruce Clarke – Jazz Guitar Players & Teachers
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Music
Jazz guitar player Joe Cinderella began to play the guitar at the age of nine without any formal jazz guitar instruction. His first jazz guitar influences were Django Reinhardt and Charlie Christian. His father, a musician who worked in the music publishing business, gave him his first guitar. It was during his late teens and early twenties that Cinderella, while serving in the US army, began to seriously study music and composition using jazz guitar books. He had studied jazz guitar with Frank Staffa for five years and then attended Essex University graduating with a degree in music. Further formal education continued by learning the Schillinger System with Edwin Bave, followed by private studies in film writing with composer/arranger Kermit Leslie, musical director of The Hit Parade helped him learn to play jazz guitar on a more in-depth level.
Joe Cinderella began a career as a solo jazz guitar player in the early 1950s. In 1954 he recorded an album with singer Chris Connors which received high critical acclaim. He went on to play with many leading jazz musicians including Teddy Charles, Zoot Sims, Donald Byrd, Vinnie Burke, Joe Newman, Roger Kellaway and Gigi Gryce. Cinderella came to further prominence when he joined baritone saxophonist Gil Melle’s jazz quartet.
Joe Cinderella moved into the world of radio and television session work in the early 1960s. He had a 22 year career in the studios. As a skilled arranger and composer his talents were much in demand. He was staff guitarist for Channel 13, Newark’s PBS station for many years. Cinderella backed many top popular singers including Judy Garland, Neil Diamond, The Byrds, Della Reese and the Beach Boys both in concert and in the recording studios. He scored and played on many films including ‘Barbarella’ and ‘Midnight Cowboy’, and also played jazz guitar in the theatre orchestra for many top Broadway musicals.
Joe Cinderella has for many years been a prominent teacher. In 1969 he was appointed Adjunct Professor of Music at William Paterson College in New Jersey. In 1982 he decided to give up studio work and devote most of his time to teaching and also in experimenting with new guitar tunings. Since 1981 he has played an eight-string guitar made to his own design. A solid body version was made for him in 1981 by the late Sam Koonz. More recently an archtop version of his guitar has been made by Gary Mortoro. It is tuned E, A, C, E, G, B, D and F# (low to high).
Jazz guitar player Bruce Clarke began to play the guitar at the age of seventeen in a Hawaiian band. In the mid 1940s he began to play jazz guitar in various groups in the Melbourne, Australia area. From 1949-52 he played in local nightclubs, but maintained an interest in jazz broadcasting with Don Bank’s Boptet and playing in local jam sessions.
In 1956 Bruce Clarke started a long and successful career in the film and television studios. In 1963 he established his own studio and production company. From 1963-75 Clarke wrote and directed over 3000 television and film soundtracks for Australian and foreign producers. Throughout this period he continued to maintain his interest in jazz guitar improvisation and contemporary music. For several years Clarke was president of the International Society Of Contemporary Music.
In 1974 Clarke joined the music board of the Australia Council and became Kenneth Myer Music Fellow to the Victoria Institute of Colleges. In 1977 he instigated the Jazz Studies programme at the Victorian College of Arts. In 1976 he founded his own jazz guitar school and since that time has written several jazz guitar instruction books. In 1984 he formed a jazz quintet which played in local clubs and restaurants. Bruce Clarke is one of the most important guitarists to have come from Australia. He continues to be a major force in music education and in thepromotion of the jazz guitar.
If all music made equal amounts of money do you think it would affect the music scene? I think that if all kinds of music were equally lucrative you would hear a lot more good music.
If pop stars all got paid the same amount I’m sure they would all follow their passions and make music they truly believed in. Many artists often look back on some of the music they have made and admitted it was bad but did it because their record label thought it would be a hit.
I wonder what music would be like if there were no music charts. Would music still progress the way it has done with each decade having a specific sound or would 70s music hits and 90s sounds still be in vogue. Would more people be using sounds that would be considered retro today if it wouldn’t affect their success?
Scales can be a bugger to learn on the guitar. We know they’re the entrance to being able to play some amazing lead guitar stuff, however that initial learning period is boring. It’s tough and it’s something I personally don’t like doing very much. So what can we do about it? Well for me I try to look past the frustrating aspect. For instance when I was taking online jazz guitar lessons I knew that I was going to have to learn some scales. There was just no way around it. Scales were important beacuse they were the way to know what notes to play together in a particular key. If I wanted to be able to play some nice lead in a jazz style then I was going to have to learn those scales come heck or high water. So I put my head down and learned them. The question though can you learn jazz if you don’t learn scales? Well that’s a tough one, because you can understand the chords, you can get them under your fingers, but if you don’t know the scales then it’s tough to know what chords are in what key and you’ll never be able to improvise on lead the way you might want to.
When one hears a strong bass ringing out it’s easy to get lost in the music. In a lot of ways it’s fair to say that’s the main point of the art in the first place. It transcends time, place, and person. However, sometimes there’s a lot to be gained by looking at the mind behind the music. For example, Russell Solomon is a talented artist to be sure. However, when really looking at his life it’s interesting to ask just where the inspiration comes from. Probably the easiest answer is that it comes from the people and relations within his life. In particular his dedication to the lovely Michizzle is obvious. However, one can also see that his love of travel over the world has influenced his music. The cycle of learning is evident there, as gigs take him from place to place and each winds up leaving an impression on his heart.
Bass guitar is one of the string instruments that is used to make the music sound good when one is singing. Many people today would love to learn it so that they can use it when they are singing in concerts or extravaganzas. It is not hard to learn bass guitar, what one has to do is find the best method to learn bass guitar and video websites is one of them. Here is how one can learn bass guitar by use of video websites:
- One should look for websites that have the videos where they show people how to play bass guitar.
- One should choose the one that they think will help them learn bass guitar in the best way.
- One should bookmark the page so that they can be using it when they want to learn bass guitar.
These are the ways that one can use video websites to learn bass guitar.
I was really excited when I found out about the Learn And Master Piano with Will Barrow course because it is made specifically for adults, as opposed to the many other programs out there which are more geared towards younger children and teens. This is a very comprehensive program which shows you from start to finish everything there is to know about this beautiful instrument.
For around $150 you get all 20 of the instructional DVD’s, a through 100 page book of lessons, and 5 play-along CD’s. As if all of this wasn’t enough, you also get access to an awesome online support site where you can interact with the instructor and other students. This is actually my favorite part of the course. For this price I simply cannot imagine a more comprehensive program, which is why I recommend it so often. It has definitely taught me everything I know about playing the piano and I am just as confident that it will do the same for you as well.
The Christmas concert can be a slippery one, conductors and symphony managers must take all care that issues surrounding the performance not slip by. There is music to be selected. This is often done in the hot months of summer when the Christmas spirit is farthest from the mind. Music must be ordered by the librarian and time given to making sure all the parts are properly distributed among the players. The musicians must not take the music lightly, although it may be the easiest to perform of all the music played during the concert season. When selecting christmas music for orchestra, the conductor must take extreme care to order enough music to cover the seventy minutes of music that will be expected on the performance. The librarian will have his or hands full with checking bowings in the string parts, or the Concert Master will be left to that responsibility. Still, must care has to be taken by all.
The bass string I had really wasn’t going to last much longer, because I had had it for so many years that it was really starting to fray and the pitch was no longer what it used to be. I have always hated having to replace the strings on my guitar, because not only do you have to mess around with trying to tune it, which can take forever if you’re as picky as I am, but the new strings always produce a sound that I hate at first. I’m kind of old school in the fact that I like to keep things the same over and over again as much possible. That is why I always get myself so worked up whenever it’s time to replace my strings, but it is something that every guitarist faces at one time or another. I guess this is something that sounds odd to anybody who doesn’t play guitar, but I’m sure anyone who’s been playing for quite some time knows exactly where I’m coming from.
I for one am not really into the things regarding to computers and stuff. I am just not used to it for I was not really exposed to it and we don’t even own one at home during the early years of my life. I just simply don’t have enough knowledge regarding this area. And I do understand from what I heard from my friends, you need a specific computer software for you to be able to make your own beats online. I admit that music has always been a part of my life but as to making it, I have no idea. That is why when I heard about it I began to be curios and to learn something about it. And so finally I found out that it is a written program or procedure or rule and associated documentation pertaining to the operation of a computer system and that are stored in read/write memory.
I have always loved Caribbean music. The rhythmic sounds of Haiti have always put me in a brighter mood. I love being able to listen to music online, it is easy and convenient, and makes my time at work fly by. Nothing gets me through my seven hours of computer work a day like the clear always fresh Caribbean music radio. When I first started working a desk job I found that time seemed to move so slowly, every hour felt like an eternity.
But then one day while browsing the internet I found that I could listen to Caribbean music online, I was amazed! My friend recommended the radio station caraibes fm 94.5 haiti to me. The next day I brought in my headphones and found that time passed so much quickly then it did when I did not have the awesome beats of music in my ears. Thank goodness for caraibes fm 94.5 haiti! I can finally have some sanity during my day!
Some of my coworkers have asked what it is that I’m listening to and they are always surprised to find that I am listening to Caribbean music; I guess I don’t look like the type who would enjoy the island jams. But after giving them the links to listen to the music themselves they found that they enjoyed it as well, now everyone surrounding me at work are jamming out to music together without our manager even knowing. But my love for music doesn’t go away when I leave work, As soon as I get home I boot up my computer and hook up the speakers and play the music out loud as I do house work and cook meals. I find that it is a great way pass time and make everyday activity’s more enjoyable.
I no longer find myself wishing time would go by faster, with online radio I find myself having fun and wishing there were more hours in the day.
I went clothes shopping for the first time in about three years yesterday. I’ve been wearing the same clothes all this time. The reason I need some new threads is because I met this smoking hot girl in my acoustic guitar lesson. She is a new student, and she is from somewhere in Northern Europe, so she has this super sexy accent. I can’t be going out with her if I’m wearing three year old clothes. You know how Europeans are so fashionable, I didn’t want to give the wrong impression. Our first date is tomorrow night, and we are heading out to this open microphone night at the local book store. I think somebody is going to be playing the acoustic guitar as well, so we’ll see if I can properly escalate the date to a more cozy locations, like at Denny’s or something. Although I’m not sure if Europeans like that kind of food.
Unless your style of music is such that won’t benefit at all from a guitar that’s built mainly for rock and metal players, then there’s an Ibanez rg electric guitar for you to pick from. They cover so wide a range that you must find something that’s very close to your peculiar taste.
If you are the type of player who likes playing very fast, then you can benefit from guitars that are designed with you in mind. They make it very easy for you to race away like there’s no tomorrow. If you prefer dimarzio pickups, then there’s also a guitar that will fit your taste.
However, I must stress that since these guitars are NOT custom made for you in particular, you might still find one or two things you are NOT satisfied with (Hey, folks even have a way of looking for and finding faults with even custom-made guitars). But then if you have such extreme taste then you should know how to tweak a guitar that has the basics into your perfect taste.
There are a lot of things we wouldn’t have needed to bother about if nothing were ever to go wrong. However, because things do go wrong sometimes, measures are put in place to address them even before they occur in the first place. This is also true about purchasing your RG7321 7 string electric guitar.
All things being equal, you really don’t need to bother. However, because things are sometimes unequal, you definitely have to take a look at a few things at the online store you are buying from. One of such things is their return policy.
You really need to know what the terms are should you get a product that has a factory defect, for example. Who bears the cost of shipping? What would it cost you? How long would it take before you get your replacement if any? What if they don’t have this guitar again in stock? Believe me, it’s better to know before you need the information.

Why your child should do theory as well as an instrument

Music Theory is an essential part of any music students weekly study. There are some who would disagree with that, and say that the students should just concentrate on playing, but I feel that theory is vitally important. By regularly practicing with lots of (more…)
